Recorded using a zoom h6 with an xy mic and foam screen and handheld. The mic was placed closely to my neck while i drank a cup of water. I started off slowly drinking then rapidly drinking. Recorded for a school project for a sfx library.

It has just turned 12, people all around are shooting off fireworks, including my 12 year old daughter and her pals, whom you can hear on this recording. Recording of a small creek, water tumbling over a small limestone rock. I placed my zoom h4n recorder with built-in microphones so close that you will hear the ocassional "pop/puff" as a water drop actually hits the big foam wind-screen.

This is a cricket that was chirping outside of my apartment. There a few loud chirps at the beginning, followed by several softer chirps. I was able to get my recorder pretty close the cricket, so the sounds came out pretty good. I recorded this with a tascam dr-07 portable recorder.

Stereo recording of a train arriving and departing at aldgate east tube station, and another train departing on the other track. London underground trains have rubber wheels and a characteristic kind of rumble. The doors open and close automatically. Faint tannoy announcement in the background, and a couple of electronic warning tones when the doors open and close. Aldgate east station is huge but has a surprisingly 'dry' and 'dead' acoustic so that it is very quiet when the trains have gone. Recorded on a zoom h2 recorder, front microphones, 90 degree separation. No amplification or equilisation on this sample.
